2016 Election Autopsy

In the absence of an external post-mortem of the 2016 Presidential Election by the Democratic Party, the Sandler Phillips Center team set out to understand how $1.5 billion was spent to elect Hillary Clinton only to have her lose the White House. The 2016 Election Autopsy set out to dispel the myths in analyses following the election and to bring statistical rigor and empirical evidence to the public discourse.

Take Back congress hub

The Take Back Congress Hub is designed to respond to the political and moral urgency of this moment by taking back the House in 2018, the Senate in 2019 and the White House in 2020. Through our analysis we are reintroducing accountability into our body politic and providing an essential resource to anyone interested in knowing where their time, energy and financial resources can make the most difference.

TURNING GEORGIA BLUE

Establishing Georgia as a battleground state has been a long-standing priority as we invest in the leaders who champion more just public policies and the community-based organizations that engage more people in our democracy. In 2018, this included efforts to help elect Stacey Abrams governor of Georgia and to flip two Republican-held congressional districts. This work will continue in 2019 around the U.S. Senate.
